Craig McCarthy

Craig McCarthy

Craig moved to Portland from the East Coast a few years ago with a background in theater. Wanting to get back on the stage, he was torn between taking an acting or an improv class, ultimately deciding on improv because the classes were $20 cheaper. Since then he has immensely enjoyed studying and performing at Curious. Craig can also be seen as an actor for the theater company, Monkey With a Hat On, in videos for "Funny or Die", and can be heard as the Host and self-proclaimed “iconic” voice of the professional ultimate frisbee team, the Portland Stags.

Eric Simons

Eric Simons

Eric is a writer, improvisor, and producer from the Land of 10,000 Lakes. A proud pupil of Minneapolis’ Brave New Workshop (the United States’ oldest satirical theater) and HUGE Theater, Eric has been honing his brand of nonsensical tomfoolery since 2009. While still a newbie to the Portland improv scene, you can find him performing with groups Broke Gravy, Weekend Dad, and Tall and Smalls.

She then went on to finish advanced levels at both The Brody Theater and The Liberators Training Center before joining Curious Comedy Theater. Hallie can also be seen around town performing improv with group The Fan Club, in addition to duo Secret Cervix.

Katherine Bagwell

Katherine is your classic jock, growing up playing almost every sport under the sun. She joined the improv cult, in 2014, by means of improving confidence in her real life job as a Clinical Dietitian (no she does not want to talk about your diet & intolerances). Katherine has studied improv with the Brody Theater, Brainwaves, Kickstand Comedy & Liberators Training Center. Katherine performs regularly with King Ricky, a Harold team, a handful of duos and is absolutely thrilled to be joining the Curious Comedy tribe.

Kaylee Wolf

Kaylee Wolf

Kaylee Wolf started her improv journey as a intern at Curious Comedy in 2016. She immediately fell in love with the "art of the prov" and developed a comedy-crush on all of Curious's house team members. Intimidated by the surrounding talent, but ready to roll up her sleeves, Kaylee moved through the levels of the Curious curriculum. Through what she hypothesizes to be black magic, she now performs with Battle Axe, and loves honing her skills onstage with the house team. She is also a member of an indie team of Curious class graduates, Tears of Friendship, and writes a blog under the pseudonym The Weekday Hangover.
