DK is an improv and sketch comedy performer, teacher, and coach hailing most recently from Los Angeles where he performed and produced live comedy shows regularly at the Pack Theatre, ACME NoHo, and other various venues around town. In 2004, DK helped open the wildly successful improv theatre, The Upfront Theatre, in Bellingham WA, where he got his improv chops performing short and long form improv. Eventually, DK became the Education Director and helped build the Upfront School of Improv till he moved to LA in 2013. DK has headlined comedy festivals across North America including, Austin, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Vancouver with his various groups and has been a featured ensemble member at a myriad of international improv festivals. DK is currently wrapping up a 7 city Fringe Festival tour of his new solo sketch comedy show, â€œHelp! Iâ€™m American,â€ for which he won â€˜Spirit of the Fringeâ€™ and â€˜Outstanding Artistâ€™ awards in Montreal and Calgary. DK makes a pretty good lasagna and can also knit.
