Kathryn Durkin
Portland native Kathryn Durkin returned to Portland in 2008 after earning a B.A. in Theatre from Loyola University. Kathryn studied improv and comedy in Chicago at the Second City Conservatory and Music Program and performed with many groups, including: BAM!, pH Productions, The Genesius Players, Liquor and Dreams, and Cornered by Squirrels. She was a member of the original, featured cast of pH’s first musical: pHamily the Musical. In the greater Portland area, Kathryn has worked with theatre companies from Vancouver, WA to Lake Oswego, including: Portland Center Stage, Lakewood Theatre Company, and Artists Equity.
Kathryn also has a history of working with children – she has worked with St. Andrew Nativity School (Portland – tutor/counselor for summer school programs), The Young People’s Theatre Project (Portland – teacher – improv workshops, counselor at Camp Caldera), and Birch Family Camp (New York – counselor/performing arts staff).
