The All Jane No Dick Comedy Festival is a four-day comedy festival dedicated to making a positive difference in the visibility of women in comedy. The festival will take place October 18 -21, 2012 at Curious Comedy Theater. The festival will bring today’s brightest up-and-coming women comedians to Portland, Oregon where they will perform, take/lead workshops, participate in panel discussions and network with each other and industry representatives. It will also draw on local talent to empower women in our own community to find their voice through comedy. The festival format will include original stand-up, improv, sketch, and video comedy all written and inspired by material from the lives of these women artists. Curious Comedy’s Artistic Director, Stacey Hallal, will draw on her 20 years of experience as a writer and comedian – as well as her extended network from performing at over 30 festivals nationwide – to put together an innovative, provocative and high quality line up that showcases the best in the art of comedy.
