Curious Comedy Theater

Dear Curious Comedy Community;

As you probably already know 2011 has been a HUGE year for Curious Comedy. We thought we would take a moment between wrapping presents and getting the fruitcake out of our hair to take stock…

In 2011 we:

-Hired two new staff members.
-Started paying our performers.
-Held our first ever and extremely successful Funnyraiser.
-Were awarded a grant from the Oregon Arts Commission.
-Brought special guests UCB and WeirdAss to Curious Comedy, selling out shows and bringing great national comedy to local audiences.
-Expanded our Training Center to include Skill Building and Intensive classes in addition to our regular semester length classes.
-Expanded our programming to include our New Memories Project, a partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association and The Vital Life Foundation to use improv to improve the quality of life of Alzheimer’s patients.
-Increased our listings and presence in Portland Media.
-Produced over 150 performances, taught over 95 classes and reached an audience of over 6,000 people.
-Whew!

And now we need your help…
We are trying to raise $10,000 by the end of the Year!

These funds will go toward meeting our budget goals for the end of the fiscal year, and will ensure that Curious Comedy is able to make all of our exciting plans for 2012 a reality.

Ticket Sales cover only 35% of our programming expenses.

We need YOUR help to be able to continue to produce the high quality work that you have come to expect at Curious. And as the only 501c3 theater in Portland dedicated to the art of comedy, your donation will be fully tax deductible!
